For the Red Label edition of the Arnage, Volkswagen reverted to Rolls Royce's 6,750cc engine eschewing BMW's 4.4 litre lump and commissioned performance engineers Cosworth to wave their magic wand over the unit; the result is truly spectacular.
We constantly bang on about how much torque a car has because in the real word this is the most important measurement of power indicating how she'll pick up her skirts and motor past a truck in top gear while fully loaded.
When the Arnage Red Label came out, it's staggering 616 ft lbs meant it was the most powerful four-door car in the world. To put it into perspective a six-litre Lamborghini Murcielago has a comparatively meagre 475 ft lbs of torque.
Despite its German ownership, the Bentley is still a very British car. No two car interiors are the same; each has wood trim that takes 17 days to hone from Walnut roots.
