Ah, the legendary E39 M5 - actually every M5 is legendary in it's own way but the E39 was the first M car to use a V8 engine. An awe inspiring car capable of carrying 5 people across continents in comfort and at considerable speed. Built in response to Jaguar's XJR and Mercedes' E55 the M5 is a true Q car with understated styling and devastating punch.
A word of warning though - if it is fuel economy you're after go for the 530d which has the same suspension set up and driving dynamics but will return almost twice the economy.
